BALANCE 2022
Are you one of those people who, before the end of the year, likes to take stock to have a clearer view of what you experienced?? How do you think about it??
The first thing that comes to your mind… is it good or bad? The moments you enjoyed the most or those in which you suffered the most??
Being able to take the time and take stock of what your year has been is very productive for different aspects of your life.. can help you see, many times, a lot of good things that you lived and had not dimensioned before: how much did you grow, how much you learned or how many things you changed and improved in the last months, both personally and professionally speaking.
It also helps to see the mistakes made, analyze and understand why they occurred and be able to take actions to prevent them from happening again.
If we focus on his concept, when we talk about balance, We are precisely referring to putting on each side of the scale all those situations that we were experiencing and from there determining how good or not our year has been with a general look.
But… How do you realize that your life is balanced how you would like?
It's something very personal! We are not all equal, and for some there are things that can weigh more than for others, some who look at the same situation with the glass half full or half empty, but if we can give an opinion from our knowledge doing this type of analysis.
A balance is a balance… between the inside and the outside, The good and bad, what inspires me to continue and what makes me want to leave everything. A harmonization between what we would like to do in an ideal and what we are currently doing.
When we talk about "balance" we refer to the analysis and evaluation of different situations that we experienced throughout the year. We review and draw conclusions about what happened in each of them. We usually focus on what we had considered or expected from the situation in question, what we were able to accomplish and what we left pending or failed.
We think about where we wanted to be a year ago and where we are today. What things we wanted to do and what we did. How we wanted to feel and how we feel today… Among many others…
If you haven't already… do you dare to do it?
We recommend that it be a time where you schedule time for yourself and without interruptions. Find a pleasant space and set it to your preferences. And once, being comfortable, with your paper, pen and markers, start the exercise.
It will be very gratifying to see your results! Whether or not it has been a good year for you.
Now we are going to recommend some tips that you can apply to carry out the exercise. There is no single way to do it, but if you follow these steps, you will surely get a good result:
- Ask yourself: What are the most important things that have happened to you this year?? Do not leave any aspect out of this point: familiar, professional, amistad, Health, economy, spirituality, emotionality, idleness, etc.
- After that it's time to create a list with everything that happened to you, take the most relevant aspects for you and try to summarize everything in 10 sentences, such as: “My best decision was to accept this new job” “The most difficult thing for me this year was spending time away from my family” “I am proud to have finished the project that seemed impossible” “I could have resolved a situation better if I dedicated the time to it necessary” etc.
- Secondly, write down your highlights: your best moments. Take the necessary time and write with a happy heart the most positive of your year
- Now it's your turn to vent about the negative things you went through. Dedicate a special time, connect with your interior and write what it cost you to go through, the bitterness you have stored in your emotionality, what was left pending. We are the sum of both parts, the positive and negative. One could not exist without the other.
- Now concentrate and remember what you had proposed in your previous balance. Were you able to meet your goals?? Or at least most of them? At this point you can add some other aspects to your list and put them in sentences like in point 2.
- LIST! You have on your desk a list of the most important events you experienced, the good ones, the bad ones and the ones you hoped to achieve a year ago: Separate them into two rows (green for positive and red for negative) and assign each one a number (on a scale from 1 to 5) according to the weight you think it has over your year. Compare the results of both and tell us how it went.
Now you think your life is balanced?
Now yes, It's time to plan for next year. You have analyzed what is beautiful and what is not so much. Take this whole process as a starting point to imagine what your next year will be like..
- If you have a main goal or dream, put it first, let it be your north.
- take point one, area by area of your life, and write what you expect for this year.
- List the goals. make them realistic, set a time limit, structure your goals.
- Give yourself a few words of encouragement, it can be only one, or a phrase. Close the process and start working for this.
Very good analysis and tips so that each of us can make our own balance. thanks team!
